Myofascial Cupping

Myofascial Cupping

Myofascial cupping involves soft tissue decompression of the tissue that promotes an increase in local blood flow and hydration of the local tissues. This promotes a mild immune response to stimulate healing of sensitised tissue and areas of decreased mobility.

Cups may be left stationary, moved over the skin or it may incorporate active movement from the patient. This dynamic approach to cupping is highly individualised to the patient’s own movement deficits and therefore promotes a return to normal pain free function.
